Privacy policy
Last updated 28 September 2026
PrintBIM ("we", "us") is based in Ghana. This policy explains what personal data we collect through printbim.com, the PrintBIM software and our sales process, and how we use it.
Summary
What we collect
- When you buy: your name, email address, country and what you bought. Payment is handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your card details.
- Your account: your email address and a securely hashed password (we never see your password), the computers you use PrintBIM on (computer ID, computer name, when last seen), and whether you have used your free export.
- Your licence: licences contain your email, the plan, the expiry date and the computer ID of the computer they are locked to.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you send, such as screenshots.
- On this website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
What the software does
PrintBIM reads your Revit model on your computer to build the print model and saves files only where you choose. Your models and files are never sent to us.
To use your account, PrintBIM connects to printbim.com when you sign in and each time you open it while online. It sends only your sign-in details, a computer ID (a one-way code derived from Windows, not your name or files), your computer's name so you can recognise it in your account, and, after your free export, the fact that it was used. It keeps your sign-in encrypted for your Windows user, and a licence that works offline for 14 days.
How we use your data
- To deliver and manage your licence, and send receipts and renewal reminders.
- To answer support requests.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run PrintBIM: Supabase (account and licence database), Paddle for payments and tax, our email provider and our website host.
How long we keep it
We keep purchase and licence records for as long as your licence is active and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Support emails are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. You also have rights under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, if you live in the EU or UK, under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
